Vincent Rattrey arrives in Fortitude and is picked up by Professor Charles Stoddart. Sheriff Anderssen and Frank Sutter, Liam's father, return after rescuing several people who got stuck in the ice. Carrie pulls a tooth from its mouth, and the children return home. Three months later, Liam Sutter and Carrie Morgan discover a mummified mammoth while walking. Sheriff Dan Anderssen drives up and tells him to go home, saying he will deal with it. He attempts to shoot the bear, but accidentally kills the man instead due to his shaking hands. Lucifer was able to avoid a lot of the Monday Night Football overlap, but this move to 8 p.m. The show is airing an hour earlier to serve as the lead-in to the brand new Marvel television series The Gifted, which is ironic considering that Lucifer is a DC Comics property that falls under their Vertigo imprint. It’s difficult to say whether or not this new time will impact Lucifer’s ratings. Naturally, Lucifer wants to know how this happened, but his attention will be split between his own business and the new officer at the department who might prove troublesome. Just as Lucifer was about to confess his true identity to Chloe in a voicemail, he was whisked away to the desert and upon awakening discovered that his wings had returned.
